WWE legend Sir Mo has sadly passed away at only 58 years of age.
Sir Mo, real-life Robert Horne, was with WWE from 1993 to 1996 and was part of the Men on a Mission tag team. He previously teamed up with Mable to win the tag team title, with it being his only championship in WWE. The star was also with the United States Wrestling Association and even came out of retirement in 2014 for HLW Heroes and Legends III.
The legendary star was suffering from pneumonia and was in
the ICU for the past month. He was also battling a blood infection. However, he
news is now making the rounds that the beloved legend has sadly passed away at
the age of 58. Fellow legend Leilani Kai recently confirmed the news on her
Facebook page. There was a lengthy message from Kai about the star and how they
first met.
The legend is survived by his wife, Denise Jones, who is currently listed as the owner of SOAR Wrestling. She was the owner of the promotion alongside Sir Mo, who is listed as the Chief Operating Officer.
This is what Leilani Kai had to say after the passing of the WWE legend:
It breaks my heart to hear that Bobby Horne, better known to
wrestling fans as Sir Mo of Men on a Mission, has passed away.
I first met Bobby when we were both traveling with the WWF in the mid-90s. He was always kind to me — always smiling, joking around, and treating everyone with respect. When you were new or didn’t quite fit in yet, Bobby had a way of making you feel welcome. That meant a lot back then, especially on those long road trips when being part of the locker room family mattered most. We also worked together many times later on the Carolina independent circuit, and he was just as genuine outside the spotlight as he was under it. He loved the business, loved the fans, and loved giving back. Bobby had that special kind of warmth that reminded you wrestling isn’t just about what happens in the ring — it’s about the people and memories that come with it. Rest in peace, my friend. Thank you for every laugh, every kind word, and every night we shared on the road. You’ll be missed by all of us who knew you.”
We at ITR Wrestling would like to send out heartfelt condolences to the legend’s family and friends.
