Foxtrot producer David Hitchcock has passed away

Yesterday, news leaked that Foxtrot producer David Hitchcock had passed away on Thursday.
David Hitchcock is dead. The music producer passed away last Thursday. This was confirmed by his family yesterday. Hitchcock was born in 1949 and began his career in 1967 at Decca Records. He later produced several well-known bands, including Camel, Caravan, Marillion, and Renaissance.
He worked as a producer on the Genesis album Foxtrot. We
recently discussed his role in our research article on the album's release date
(Steve Hackett recalled the change from John Anthony to David Hitchcock).
Hitchcock later moved into the financial sector with the aim of becoming a
financial advisor in the music industry. He eventually became financial manager
for Monty Python. He then founded his own financial management company, DBM

The record producer working with such bands as Genesis, Caravan, Camel, Curved Air and Renaissance.
Hitchcock worked in A&R as a staff producer at Decca Records, also worked with Charisma Records and then became an independent record producer forming the company Gruggy Woof Productions.
He later retrained as a chartered accountant with KPMG with the aim of becoming someone who could provide financial advice for musicians. He then joined Ernst & Young's Entertainment & Media Group. In 1992, he left to manage the business affairs of Monty Python before founding his own accountancy business, DBM Ltd, which focuses on "artists, producers, writers and other creatives - 85% of what we do is music-related."
David Hitchcock was 76 years old.
