Veteran actor Tony Mirrcandani is no more. As per a media report, the actor – who has starred in both Hollywood and Bollywood films, passed away owing to a prolonged illness.

As reported by Moviefied Bollywood, actor and writer Tony Mirrcandani breathed his last at his family home in Telangana, Hyderabad. The publication also shared an image of the prayer meet the family organized for people to pay their respects and mourn him. The text on the invite included the names of his parents – Late Fatechand Mirchandani & Moomli Mirchandani, wife, Rama Mirchandani, daughter, Shloka Mirchandani and other family members. It also included details of where the prayer meet is being held.

The actor was seen in movies such as the Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta-led Koi… Mil Gaya and the military sci-fi actioner, Ender’s Game, starring Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford and Hailee Steinfeld in pivotal roles. Aside from acting, Tony also penned the mystery thriller Wajahh: A Reason to Kill. This film – released in 2004, starred Arbaaz Khan and Shamita Shetty in lead roles.

The actor’s passing has left fans and colleagues in mourning, who remember him for his contributions to cinema.

He was adept at playing complex characters on screen, which speaks of his ability as an actor. He often gave advice to new actors on the set, which was revealed by his co-actors in several interviews.
