Americo Zorilla “Rico” Alaniz has died

 

He was not on the list.

He was 95; an American actor from 1950 to 1992 known as Rico. Rico Alaniz was born on October 25, 1919 in Juarez, Mexico as Americo Zorilla Alaniz.

He worked in film and television. He played "Mr. Cousin" from 1955 to 1959 in the western television series, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp and was the last surviving actor from the main cast in the Original Magnificent 7 films.

Some of his other credits include "The Schoolteacher" (1958) and as Joe Riva in "Death for a Stolen Horse" (1959), "The High Chaparral", "Bonanza", "Gunsmoke", "Border Patrol", "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin", "Rawhide", "The Wild Wild West", "The Fugitive".

He passed away at his home in California.
