Nightcrawlers hitmaker John Reid dies aged 61
He wrote hits for Tina Turner and Rod Stewart
He was not on the list.
DJ and songwriter, John Reid, has died at the age of 61. Best known for writing hits for Tina Turner, Rod Stewart and Westlife, the Scottish singer also fronted 90s band, Nightcrawlers, who had a smash hit with 'Push The Feeling On' in 1995.
Tributes began to pour in on Monday 16th June, after the news was announced that John had died 'suddenly'.
John's successes include writing Tina Turner’s 1999 hit 'When the Heartache Is Over', as well as co-writing Westlife's 'Unbreakable' and contributing to Rod Stewart's 'Run Back Into Your Arms'.
Vocal coach and Red Hot Chilli Pipers singer Chris Judge, said: 'RIP John Reid, an incredible Scottish singer with so much soul most famous for his vocals in the Nightcrawlers hit push the feeling on. It's been sampled so many times Pitbull, the Friday song by Riton Mufasa & Hypeman etc he was also an extremely talented topline writer, who wrote A moment like this hit after hit for Tina Turner, Rod Stewart, Leona Lewis, Westlife.

John's cause of death has not yet been revealed.
