Mark “Porkchop" Holder, 52, of Dayton, died on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at his home.
He was born on December 1, 1972, in Pikeville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Holder and a brother, Larry Holder.
Porkchop was a blues artist. He played in Europe and all across the U.S. and often playing locally in several venues. He was once part of the group Black Diamond Heavies.
Survivors include his mother, Bobbie Holder, brother, Sid Holder, aunts, Billie Westbrooks, Hakie Grisham, and Dora Couch, uncles, Heman Waddell, and Carl Waddell, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
