Action star Cedric Jones, who starred with Chris Pratt in The Terminal List, dead at 46
He was not on the list.
The actor and personal trainer’s unexpected passing comes a month after he shared a motivational post to his followers to ‘get focused’.
The Terminal List actor Cedric Jones has “suddenly” died, aged 46.
His wife and three children are “in shock” and a cause of death has not been disclosed out of respect for the family, according to Daily Mail.
Jones — an actor and personal trainer best known for his role in the 2023 thriller series The Terminal List alongside his friend Chris Pratt — died on October 16, his company Beastie Boxing confirmed on Instagram.
“Cedric was a loving father, devoted husband, caring son, brother, community leader, and incredible friend who inspired others,” the gym wrote on October 20.
“He genuinely wanted everyone to become the best version of themselves. He was a gift.”
Jones appeared as a security guard in The Terminal List and also appeared alongside Pratt in the 2016 film The Magnificent Seven.
At the time of The Terminal List being released, Jones wrote on his Instagram: “I had the pleasure of working with @prattprattpratt on a couple of times.
“He has been down to earth every time and always showed his faith. He actually stopped filming to pray for my wife and kids while on set because of an accident. #real #actor #faith #star #terminallist #dreamchaser.”
Before finding Hollywood success and his love for training, Jones had been homeless in Compton, California.
Jones’ final Instagram post on September 13 was an uplifting message to his followers to “get focused”.
“Stop strolling and worrying about what people are saying. People will talk — don’t listen, people will point — don’t look their way, people will write about you — don’t give them your time. #GYLT#motivation #workhard #focusonyourself,” the caption read.
The video showed Jones at the gym working out as he encouraged followers to make the most of their days.
Beastie Boxing Gym hosted a memorial over the weekend.
“Cedric had dedicated his life to helping people in and out of the gym,” a post read.
“As founder of both Beastie Boxing and the BMoved Foundation, he inspired and helped people achieve what they previously thought impossible.”
Along with the gym, he started BMoved Foundation which strived to help others in need.
Other movie credits of Jones’ include Southpaw, Princess Of The Row and Marshall County.
