RIP Carla Cassola. Theater, film, TV, singer and voice actress Carla Cassola died in Rome on July 24, 2022. She was 74. Cassola was very active in the Italian theater and worked in films with such directors as Tinto Brass, Liliana Cavani, Antonio Rezza and Lucio Fulci. Born on December 14, 1947 in Taormina, Sicily, Italy, she won a Silver Ribbon for her dubbing of Tilda Swinton in the film “Orlando” in 1993. She leaves a son Giulio Pampiglione born in 1978. Carla appeared in two Spaghetti westerns: “Death Rides a Horse” (1968) as Betsy and “The Genius” (1975) with Terence Hill where she played a prostitute.

The House of Clocks (La Casa nel tempo) (1989) [Maria]: Stabbed in the stomach with a wooden stake by Bettina Milne, and disemboweled when the stake is pulled out. She later comes back to life after time turns back.

Captain America (1990) [Dr. Maria Vaselli]: Shot point blank in the chest with a handgun by Gary Epper, while the other scientists look on in shock; she dies soon after in Matt Salinger's arms.

The Sect (La Setta; The Devil's Daughter) (1991) [Dr. Pernath]: Pushed down a pit by Kelly Curtis and bangs her head on the way down.

The Torturer (2005) [Carla Sherba]: Stabbed by Emilo De Marchi after first stabbing him in the back while he is trying to drown her son, Simone Corrente.
