Jerry Ludwig Has Died
He was not on the list.
Jerrold Lawrence "Jerry" Ludwig
1941 – 2021
Jerry passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California.
Jerry was born on June 18, 1941, to the late Benjamin and Jeanne Ludwig. He married
Lois Joan Brouillette (from Fowler, IN) on August 21, 1971, and she survives.
Jerry's career was in the film industry in Hollywood, CA, as a film editor. As quoted by an award given to him by the American Cinema Editors, "If the hallmark of every successful editor is to have elevated all the material they touch, few can have done so as consistently and with as much humility as Jerry. He scaled the Hollywood ladder from messenger boy to go-to-editor for some of the most acclaimed TV specials of the 1980s and 1990s." He was proud of his service in the Air Force Reserves and was honorably discharged.
Jerry enjoyed so much in life and always brought joy to everyone he met with his kindness and his sense of humor.
Surviving along with his wife are two brothers. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, 2:00 p.m., at the home of Lois & Jerry, in Pasadena, CA, and on September 25, 2021, 2:00 p.m., in Lafayette, Indiana (details re: location to follow). Memorial contributions may be made to Boys & Girls Town of Missouri or the Los Angeles Mission (for the homeless).
