Damaris Ann Kennedy Hayman born in Kensington, London, England passed away on June 3, 2021 at 91. cause of death not revealed yet. Hayman appeared in the Doctor Who serial The Dæmons (1971) as Miss Hawthorne, the self-proclaimed White Witch of the village Devil’s End.

Keith Barnfather, who is a director and producer at Reeltime Pictures, wrote on Facebook, “It’s with deep and sincere regret that I have to tell you that the wonderful and utterly unique Damaris Hayman passed away today at the age of 91.”

“At this moment, words fail me. I loved her very much and was planning to see her a week ago. But events forced me to postpone my visit. I feel terribly guilty – but I know she understood. It was work, and Damaris understood it was the only thing that would stop me,” Barnfather added.

The 62-year-old director also paid touching tributes to the late actress, writing, “Goodbye Damaris … it was my honor to have known and worked with you. Olive Hawthorne will live forever!”
