Nita Bieber, Actress, Dancer and MGM Contract Player, Dies At Age 92

Nita Bieber, a former dancer and actress who appeared in
Rhythm and Weep along with the Three Stooges, in Summer Stock with Judy Garland
and in The Prince Who Was a Thief with Tony Curtis, has died. She was 92.
Her death was confirmed by his family. Her son, Rocky, told
The Hollywood Reporter that Nita died on Monday, February 4, in Rancho Palos
Verdes, California.
Nita, who completed her graduation from Hollywood High
School, also played a dancer in The Jolson Story (1946), starring Larry Parks,
in Kilroy Was Here (1947) starring
Jackie Coogan and in A Lady Without Passport (1950) starring Hedy
Lamarr.
He also appeared in 1947's News Hounds alongside the Bowery
Boys.
Nita retired from show business when she was 28 after
playing a role in the Howard Keel-Ann Blyth MGM musical Kismet (1955).
She was married to dentist Jack Wall, who died in 2005.
Rocky said their parents were "best friends for 50 years".
In addition to son Rocky, Nita is also survived her
daughter, Ivy.
A memorial service for the late dancer and actress will be
announced in the coming days. Rest in Peace Nita Bieber!
