The beloved country singer died at the age of 46 today

The married dad-of-four had five top 40 Hot Country Songs and reached number two with the songs "I Let Her Lie" and "Amen Kind of Love".

Storme Warren, a DJ for country music radio station SiriusXM, tweeted: "I am sad to report that the rumors of the passing of @Darylesing are unfortunately true.

"We have confirmation from his road manager Chuck Lauber. One of the great true Country voices is gone.

The singer played his first show of 2018 on Friday in Alabama at The Rodeo Club.

He fell in love with country music at an early age.

In 1998 he told the Tennessean that every summer his family would visit Nashville and made his first record.

He said: "It was the biggest deal for me to go to Opryland to the Barbara Mandrell record-your-own-voice studio there. "I recorded (the Hank Williams classic) Your Cheatin' Heart…I think I was 12 or 13."
