David Baron, an English actor known for Doctor Who, The Avengers and The Reptile, died on June 3, 2026.

He was 93. Born in Birmingham on April 7, 1933, Baron first went to Queen’s University in Ontario to teach and study before turning to acting.

He worked on stage and in television after returning to England, with theatre credits including The Unexpected Guest, The Philanthropist and Otherwise Engaged. His screen roles also included appearances in The Professionals, Buccaneer, Nobody Runs Forever and The Tamarind Seed.

Through his career he appeared in stage productions such as The Unexpected Guest by Agatha Christie, The Philanthropist by Christopher Hampton, and Otherwise Engaged by Simon Gray. His film credits include The Reptile (1966), Nobody Runs Forever (1968) and The Tamarind Seed (1974). He appeared in television series such as Doctor Who, The Avengers, The Professionals and Buccaneer. Baron's last screen credit was in the detective drama television series Foyle's War in 2010.

He has died but the date remains unknown.
