Gary Armstrong was born on June 2, 1934 in Fort Scott, Kansas, USA as Gary Olyn Armstrong. He is known for his work on Cliffhanger (1993), Mirror Mirror (2012) and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979). He died on June 15, 2017 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was a child actor on films such as California with Ray Milland and Barbara Stanwyck and Barry Fitzgerald, Colorado Pioneers with Robert Blake and Bill Elliott. He also had a recurring role on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. As an adult he worked a cameraman on many movies and television series.

According to the Screen Children's Directory, he was 11 years old in 1946. He spoke Spanish and Italian and played the piano, clarinet, trumpet and harmonica.

1999 Recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award by Society of Operating Cameramen.
