This is the director Jacques Becker who gave him in 1949 his first film role in Rendezvous in July. She had also kept the name of her character “Courcel” for the stage.

Born in Saint-Cloud, in the western suburbs of Paris, she appeared in more than 40 films between 1947 and 1979.
