Star Trek Actress Lois Jewell Has Died
She was not on the list.
Lois Jewell (8 October 1938 – 20 December 2014; age 76) was a former actress and model who played Drusilla in the Star Trek: The Original Series second season episode "Bread and Circuses". She filmed her scenes on Wednesday 20 September 1967 at Desilu Stage 10.
As a professional model, Jewell appeared in over eighty television commercials and numerous print ads. Her only other acting credit was the 1967 pilot episode of The Flying Nun, with Serena Sande.
Disillusioned with the quality of roles she was offered, she retired from acting soon after, returning to modeling, then going into business with her husband, Harold Jewell, eventually making appearances on the convention circuit. Jewell died of cancer in December 2014.
