Stuntman Ralph Garret Has Died
He was not on the list.
Ralph Garrett (15 October 1937 – 19 July 2021; age 83) was a stuntman and stunt coordinator who performed as a stunt double in the two Star Trek: The Original Series third season episodes "Is There in Truth No Beauty?" and "The Cloud Minders". He doubled for David Frankham in his first appearance, and unspecified Troglyte stunts in his latter appearance. He also doubled for Leonard Nimoy in an unspecified episode of Star Trek. (Hollywood Stunt Performers, 1910s-1970s: A Biographical Dictionary, 2d Ed., p. 102)
He was the husband of fellow Star Trek stunt performer Donna Garrett.
Ralph Leland Garrett grew up in suburban Los Angeles, California. Garrett began his career in show business at age thirteen as a member of his father Homer Garrett's Why-Not Twirlers, which was an acrobatic square dance troupe warm-up act at nightclubs. Ralph met his wife Donna Garrett while on leave from the Army at a Why-Not Twirlers rehearsal in 1961; the couple got married three years later in 1964. Garrett's career as a stuntman started in the mid-1960's and lasted until the early 1990's. Outside of his work as a stuntman, Ralph also played small roles in a few films and TV shows. He's the father of two children: Daughter Nicole and son Damon.
