RIP Pamela Lincoln
She was not on the list.
Pamela Lincoln-Yergin, born May 14, 1937, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California, left us on Nov. 21 with family, friends, caretakers, and Hospice in attendance.
She attended high school in California and Connecticut, and took acting classes at the Gene Frankel Theatre in New York City. Pamela was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and performed on stage, screen, and television.
After raising two children, her career took a new path as she worked at GE/Westinghouse Communications and assorted TV stations. She also gave private lessons in acting, public speaking, and group presentations.
In her golden years she befriended neighbor Florence Wald, known as the mother of Hospice care in the United States. She volunteered for patient care and the painting of ceiling tiles for the bed-ridden. She also volunteered at Branford Community Center and Branford Animal Shelter.
Pamela was a loving, wonderful, funny, generous, and elegant woman. Her passing is a great loss and she will always be loved. God Bless.
She was an actress, known for The Tingler (1959), Tootsie
(1982) and One Step Beyond (1959). She was married to James Arthur Yergin and
Darryl Hickman. She died on 21 November 2019 in Branford, Connecticut, USA.
Her best-known movie role is the William Castle film The Tingler, where her screams save the life of Vincent Price, who is being attacked by the bizarre creature. Pamela had contract roles on two daytime soap operas. From 1974 to 1977, in Love of Life, she played the tragic Felicia Fleming Lamont, who was involved with the dashing Eduardo Aleata (played by John Aniston) while married to the older Charles Lamont,
From 1977 to 1979, in The Doctors, she played the scheming
Doreen Aldrich, who notoriously kidnapped heroine Carolee Aldrich (her former
sister-in-law) when she falsely believed that she was dying of leukemia and
decided that she wanted Carolee's husband, Steve. In 1984, Pamela appeared on
One Life to Live as Suzanne Allardyce, the widow of the president of a
fictional South American country.
