October 10, 1967 - April 5, 2016

Age 48, of Castle Pines, Colorado.

DEATH: April 5, 2016, in Castle Pines, Colorado.

BIRTH: October 10, 1967, in Peoria, Illinois, to Frank Wesley Wainright, II and Eileen Kay Rutledge Wainright.

PRECEDED IN DEATH by mother Eileen Kay Rutledge Wainright.

EDUCATION: Graduate, Pomona High School in Colorado, 1986. Played football and basketball. Attended University of Northern Colorado where he played football.

DRAFTED INTO NFL by New Orleans Saints. Played in the NFL for ten years ... the Saints, Dolphins, and Ravens with short-term stints with the Broncos and Eagles. Member of the 2000 Super Bowl winning Ravens team. His NFL Career came to an end when his back was injured following the Super Bowl.

PRESIDENT: President of the NFL Alumni Chapter in Denver, Colorado.

BUSINESS OWNER: Moved back to Colorado in 2002 and started businesses in medical devices (especially spinal) and sales.

PASTIMES AND INTERESTS: Coaching young athletes. Helping make sports safer. Fishing. Working in the yard and spending time at his cabin in Columbine Lake. Most of all ... watching his kids play sports.

AMONG SURVIVORS: Wife Stacie Wainright, daughter Kelsey Wainright and son Wesley Wainright, father Frank Wesly Wainright, II, sisters Glenda Wainright, Lisa Witcombe and her children Kaylee and Vance, mother-in-law Lynne Staebell, father-in-law Dan Popp and his wife Sue Peck, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, co-workers and employees.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Wednesday, April 13, 2016, @ 2:00 PM, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

ARRANGEMENTS: Drinkwine Family Mortuary.

NOTE: Body donated to medical science. He donated his brain to the Concussion Legacy Foundation for the study of short and long term impact of CTE - Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.
