World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Nelson Frazier, Jr., has died. He was 43 years old.
The WWE confirmed Frazier’s death in a statement posted to the organization’s website Wednesday, Feb. 19. “Our deepest condolences go out to Frazier’s family, friends and fans,” the statement read.
Frazier died of a heart attack on Tuesday. His agent, Eric Simms, was the first to report this death.
“I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I just got off the phone with Big Daddy V’s wife,” he wrote on Facebook Tuesday. “He had a massive heart attack and passed away today. He was 43 years old. my thoughts and prayers are with his family right now.”
The 6-foot-9 wrestler, who weighed in at almost 500 pounds, joined the WWE in 1993, according to Bleacher Report. He competed under the stage names Mabel, Viscera and Big Daddy V. He landed a Tag Team Championship and King of the Ring title over the course of his career.
In 2012, he revealed to the Sports Courier he had been wrestling in Mexico and the Middle East after leaving the WWE.
