New Orleans actress Carol Sutton dies from complications of COVID-19

 

She was not on the list.

New Orleans native actress Carol Sutton has died from complications of COVID-19.

Sutton was featured in films like "Steel Magnolias," "Monsters Ball" and "Ray."

Her heart was always on the stage. She was a legend of local community theater as a mentor and teacher to young actors.

Sutton’s death comes nearly a week after another local stage legend Sharri Marina died last week.

Marina was a beloved thespian, veteran of community and teacher at Dillard University.
