Boris Leskin dead - Men In Black star who played cook dies aged 97 

He was not on the list.

Boris Leskin, who appeared in the 1997 box office hit Men In Black, has died this week at the age of 97.

The Romanian-born actor, who came to fame in Soviet-era movies before landing the role of the chef in Men In Black, has passed away, according to Iz.ru.

Daria Jurrasic, a member of the Moscow Art Theater, praised Leskin for his “amazing” and “incredible” life.

“Farewell. Thank you,” Jurassic added.

Boris' cause of death is yet to be confirmed, and no information about his funeral has been released by his remaining family.

The actor was born in January 1923 in Chisinau, Moldova. He went on to move to the US in 1980 and found roles in Men In Black, Khanuma, Republic of ShKID, Maxim Perepelitsa and Old, Old Tale.

His young life was marked by tragedy as his father was arrested and executed when Boris was just four years old.

Boris went on to fight in World War II as a sapper - someone who works on the very front line to build fortifications and dig trenches - until he was wounded.
