Lloyd Kino obit

 Actor Lloyd Kino Has Died

He was not on the list.

Lloyd Kino was born on May 16, 1919 in Seattle, Washington, USA. He was an actor and assistant director, known for Mortal Kombat (1995), Godzilla (1998) and Star Trek (1966). He died on July 21, 2012 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Died the same month--only 12 days difference--as Andy Griffith, with whom he co-starred in Aunt Bee's Restaurant (1967).

He was the older brother of Robert Kino.

He played Wu in the Star Trek: The Original Series second season episode "The Omega Glory".

From the early 1960s to the mid 2000s, Kino appeared in a large number of television and feature film projects usually playing smaller supporting roles.

He can be seen in episodes of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (with Whit Bissell and Irene Tsu), The Andy Griffith Show (with Keye Luke), The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (with France Nuyen and Roy Jenson, directed by Joseph Sargent), M*A*S*H, Kung Fu (with Keye Luke and Jay Jones, directed by Marc Daniels), Baretta, Mork & Mindy, Hawaii Five-O, T. J. Hooker (starring William Shatner and James Darren, with Michelle Phillips, Miguel Ferrer, and Patti Yasutake), Magnum, P.I. (with Marta Dubois and Lance LeGault), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (starring Paul Guilfoyle, with Glenn Morshower), and NCIS (with Alicia Coppola).

His feature film credits include smaller parts in movies such as Brainstorm(1965, starring Jeffrey Hunter, with Phillip Pine, Joan Swift, Tom Anfinsen David Armstrong, Biff Elliot, Steve Ihnat, Charles Maxwell, William Meader, Joseph Mell, Monty O'Grady, and Bill Quinn), Airport 1975 (1974, with Irene Tsu, Gene Dynarski, Robert Ito, and Clyde Kusatsu, written by Don Ingalls), The Last Tycoon (1976, with Tige Andrews, Morgan Farley, Jeff Corey, Seymour Cassel, Dick Cherney, Byron Morrow, Monty O'Grady, and Arthur Tovey), Who's That Girl (1987, with Bibi Besch, Roy Brocksmith, and Arthur Tovey), Mortal Kombat (1995, with Cary-Hiroyuki and the voices of Frank Welker and Kevin Michael Richardson), The Cable Guy (1996, with Andy Dick, Charles Napier, and David Bowe), Godzilla (1998, with Glenn Morshower, Clyde Kusatsu, Derek Webster, and the voice of Frank Welker), and Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005, with William Shatner, Enrique Murciano, Diedrich Bader, and Marcelo Tubert).
