School librarian-turned-TV and film actor Bunny Levine dies at 97
Bunny Levine pursued a later-in-life career as an actor and earned roles in "Gilmore Girls," "Law & Order," "Everybody Loves Raymond" and other productions.
She was not on the list.
Television and film actor Bunny Levine, who worked as a librarian for more than two decades before pursuing acting and earning roles in "Gilmore Girls," "Law & Order" and other productions, has died at age 97, according to her representative.
Representative Mike Eisenstadt told NBCLA that Levine died Thursday at her Tarzana home in her sleep.
Levine was interested in acting at a young age, but placed those aspirations on hold after graduating and worked as a librarian to help raise three children, according to her IMDB profile. After retiring, she took acting classes and auditioned for roles in commercials, daytime dramas and films.
She moved from the East Coast to Los Angeles and built an expansive acting resume that included credits in "Law & Order," "Everybody Loves Raymond," "Gilmore Girls" and "New Girl."
Her film credits included "You Don't Mess wit the Zohan," "A Thousand Words," "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah" and "Thelma."
Levine continued to audition for roles in her 90s, her representative said.
The LAPD responded to Levine's residence Thursday morning after a report of an unresponsive person. The death appeared to be from natural causes, police said.
