Ben Mittleman was born on March 20, 1950 in Levittown, Long Island, New York, USA. He was an actor and director, known for Remington Steele (1982), Dead Heat (1988) and Deadly Force (1983). He died on June 28, 2017 in the USA.

Benjamin F. Mittleman, 67, passed away on June 28 after a lengthy struggle with cancer. He was born on Long Island and studied acting at New York's Circle in the Square. He moved to Los Angeles in the early 1980s, working in film, television and theater. Mr. Mittleman formed a production company, Action4Kids, to promote youthful social awareness. He wrote, produced and directed two documentaries, Dying to Live and The Youngest Guns. He leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Bradley Gordon of Reston, Virginia, their three children Morley, Eva and Samuel, great-niece Ainsley and great-nephews Julian and Zakariya Benjamin Gordon as well as his longtime partner, Catherine Blieck. Mr. Mittleman was buried on Friday, June 30, at Mount Habron Cemetery in Queens, New York.
