Star Trek Actor Hagan Beggs has died

He was not on the list.

Born in Belfast, Ireland, Hagan immigrated to Canada as a young man. He has worked on Stage, Radio, TV and Film as an actor, a set decorator and a props man.

Highlights of a long career include playing George Dunbar on "Danger Bay" and Liam Gleeson on "Bordertown", two Vancouver based television series. He will also be remembered as Lt Hansen on the first season of the original "Start Trek".

Danger Bay, which aired on CBC Television and The Disney Channel from 1985 to 1990. Beggs also co-starred as Liam Gleeson on the Canadian series, Bordertown, from 1989 to 1991. His other television roles included a recurring role as Lt. Hansen during season one of Star Trek: The Original Series from 1966 to 1967.

Beggs died in Vancouver, British Columbia, on September 16, 2016, at the age of 79.

Hagan was loved by many and he asks family and friends to find a quiet moment on a beach or in a park and think of him.
